Mother’s Day

10 May

This weekend marked the celebration of my 2nd Mother’s Day.  We had a great meal at Amis on Saturday morning.  Prosciutto di parma and melon, mortadella mousse, stunning swiss chard ravioli with a spring onion ragu and a decadent carbonara.  All finished off with a slice of olive oil torte with apple butter, whipped cream and toasted (maybe candied?) hazelnuts.  Every dish felt effortless, tasted great and was beautiful.  Bells loved dipping the bread into the mortadella mousse and stole pasta and chunks of pancetta from Dada’s plate.

The olive oil torte didn’t last long enough for me to snap a picture.
